Working out of Ramesh Mahal in Juhu is actually quite nice, though the building at number 11 shows its age sometimes. It’s not like those big glass towers you see in the city. Our space is more about getting things done than looking fancy for visitors. Most of the time we are just staring at the screens or talking on our mobiles, trying to sort out people’s jobs. Juhu is always busy, especially on the weekends, but during the week it’s just the usual office crowd and local traffic. The room we have here has big windows but we keep the curtains drawn most of the time because the sun gets too bright in the afternoons. There’s always a pile of papers on the corner desk that never seems to get smaller. We have a small kettle for tea which gets a lot of use every morning. The stairs are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road but not too bad. We’ve been here long enough that the watchman knows our names and we know where to get some snacks nearby. It’s just a regular office life where we try to find the right people for the right places, sitting in our little corner of Juhu Ramesh Mahal. The floor is that old-fashioned tile that stays cool even when it's boiling outside. Sometimes we just sit and talk about nothing in particular when the internet goes down. It's a simple life here and we like the familiarity.
