Surbhi Holiday Club

Down in Kandivali West 9, Surbhi Holiday Club is a small office where we handle travel stuff. It’s tucked away, and we spend a lot of time on the phones or looking at computer screens. We deal with train bookings, bus tickets, and sometimes those longer vacation packages when people want to get away for a week. The walls have a few old posters of mountains and beaches that have faded over the years. We’ve got a couple of desks and some chairs for when families come in to discuss their trips. It’s usually a mix of noise—phones ringing and the hum of the air conditioner trying to stay ahead of the heat. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most people who come here are neighbors or friends of people we’ve helped before. Sometimes we’re hunting for the cheapest fare for an hour just to save someone a few hundred rupees. It’s a lot of typing and checking dates over and over. When the monsoon hits, the street outside gets a bit flooded, so it stays quiet for a few days. We keep a big water jar in the corner for anyone who stops in. It’s just a regular local business where we get people from one place to another. We stay open late most nights because that's when people are off work and can finally think about their holidays. It's a lot of logistics but we've gotten used to the daily rhythm of it.
