Sumo Plast Industries

We operate out of Vikhroli West. It's an industrial area, so there are always trucks and workers around. Our place is where we handle various plastic items. It’s not a quiet office; you can usually hear the machines or the sound of things being moved around. We make and sell stuff that people use every day, mostly plastic components or containers. It’s a straightforward business. We started here because the location was convenient for getting materials in and out. The floor is usually covered with scraps or packing material until we clean up at the end of the shift. It's a bit hot in the summer, but we keep the doors open for a breeze. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the orders we get. If a customer needs a batch of parts, we get it done. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing a belt or a motor. That’s just how it goes in a workshop like Sumo Plast Industries. Most of our guys have been here for years. They know the equipment better than anyone. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the production running and make sure the quality is decent enough for what it’s used for. It’s heavy work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We don't overthink it, we just keep the molds moving and the shipments going.
