Our shop, Sukla Furniture, is tucked away in Chembur East. We’re in Room No 519 at number 511. It’s not a huge showroom like the ones you see in the mall. It’s more of a place where we actually make things. There’s always sawdust on the floor and the smell of wood and glue in the air. We keep our tools close by and usually have a few half-finished chairs or cupboards sitting around. Space is a bit tight, especially when we get a big order. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and nailing things together. It’s honest work. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people who come to us live nearby in Chembur or heard about us from a neighbor. We’ve been in this room for a long time. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going. Sometimes we’re working late to finish a table for someone who needs it by morning. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know how to handle wood. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just make furniture that people can use in their homes without any big promises. We focus on the wood and making sure things are sturdy enough for daily use.
