If you are looking for Suburban Furniture, we are in Andheri West near the Sandhurst Bridge area, right across from where the Star Plus office is at Chowpatty. It’s a location that people recognize easily because of the landmarks. We deal with all kinds of furniture here. The shop floor is usually covered in a bit of dust because we are always moving things around or checking pieces that just arrived. It’s not a shiny showroom like the ones you see in malls. It’s a real workshop and store where you can smell the wood and the varnish. We spend our days showing people different tables, chairs, and cupboards. Some customers come in knowing exactly what they want and others just wander around for an hour. We don’t mind either way. The traffic outside near the bridge is always a mess, so we usually have the radio playing to drown out the horns. It’s a family-run kind of thing and we’ve been doing this for years now. We know which wood lasts and which doesn't. We don't try to talk anyone into buying something they don't need. If it fits their house and their budget, then it's fine. Most of our day is spent unloading trucks or talking to carpenters. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy. We like being in this part of town despite the constant noise and the crowd.
