Standard Chartered

We are located in the Madhurima building, which is right on M.G. Road in Kandivali West. It’s a busy spot, and finding parking around here is almost impossible most days. This Standard Chartered branch is where we spend most of our time, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s not a massive skyscraper or anything; it’s just a ground floor and maybe a bit more in a residential society. You can hear the traffic from M.G. Road all day long, which is just part of being in this part of Mumbai. The staff here are mostly locals who have been working in the area for years. We don't really do the whole corporate talk thing when we’re just among ourselves. It’s about getting the accounts sorted and making sure the paperwork is right. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, and other times it feels like it’s barely working, but we manage. We aren't here to give some grand speech about banking. We just open the shutters in the morning, do the entries, and talk to the people who walk in. Kandivali has changed a lot, but this little corner of B-4 stays pretty much the same. We know the shopkeepers nearby and where to get the best snacks for the afternoon break. It’s a very standard routine for all of us. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day.
