Srcc Childrens Hospital Managed By Narayana Health

Srcc Childrens Hospital is at 1-1A Haji Ali Park, right on K.Khayde Marg. Being near Haji Ali means the sea breeze comes through sometimes, but the traffic on the road is almost always heavy and loud. The hospital is managed by Narayana Health, so there are a lot of different departments and people walking around in scrubs at all hours. We have a lot of kids coming in every day, which means the waiting areas can get quite loud with crying or playing. We have some colorful stickers on the walls to make it look a bit less plain for them, but at the end of the day, it is still a hospital. The hallways are long and have that specific smell of cleaning chemicals that never really goes away no matter how much we vent the place. We have security guards at the entrance who check everyone’s IDs and keep things orderly. It can be a bit overwhelming with so many floors and rooms, and we are always trying to remember which doctor is in which cabin today. The elevators are busy all the time, so many of us just take the stairs if it is only a floor or two. It is a big operation and there is always something happening, whether it is a new shipment of medicine or a shift change in the middle of the night. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing for the families. It is a lot of responsibility.
