Space Design Group

Space Design Group is located over at the Meghal Service Industrial Estate in Mulund. If you know the area, you know it's a bit of a maze of different businesses and workshops. We’re in unit 318. It’s a working building, so there’s always the sound of machinery or people moving crates in the hallway. Our space is where we sit down and figure out how to make things look and work better. We’ve got sketches and samples all over the place. It’s a bit messy at times, honestly, but that’s how we work best. We aren't the kind of designers who sit in a pristine white studio. We like being in the middle of an industrial estate where things are actually being made. The team here is pretty small, and we don't have a lot of formal meetings. Most of our decisions happen over a cup of coffee or while standing around a table looking at a drawing together. We’ve been in Mulund for a while now and we like the local feel of the place. It’s a practical location for what we do. We don't use big words to describe our style or anything like that. We just try to solve the problems that come our way. Sometimes a design takes a few tries to get right, and we’re okay with that because it’s part of the process.
