Tilak Nagar in Kurla West is where you will find us. Bhavna Ashwin Shah is the name on our papers, and we operate out of this local neighborhood. It isn't a massive company with a hundred employees or a tall glass building. It is just a small, focused operation where we handle our daily business tasks. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so we’ve seen the buildings go up and the old trees disappear. Our work is mostly paperwork and coordinating things over the phone or in person with people we have known for years. We don't go in for fancy titles or corporate talk because that isn't who we are. We like the fact that our neighbors know us and that we can walk to most places we need to go. The office is small, with just enough room for our desks and a couple of chairs for guests who drop by for tea. It can get a bit cluttered with documents and files, but we know where everything is kept. We don't try to compete with the big firms in the city center; we are happy doing things our way here in Kurla. Every day is pretty much the same—answering calls, sorting through mail, and making sure our affairs are in order. It’s a quiet kind of life and that suits us just fine. We usually start around ten in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the shops nearby begin closing up.
