Sonal Services Centre

If you go to Andheri West, specifically around area 77, you’ll find Sonal Services Centre. We are basically a repair shop. Most of the time, the place is cluttered with various items people have dropped off for us to look at. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the tools and parts lying on the workbenches. We don't really bother with making the place look like a showroom. Our focus is just on the repairs. Andheri is always moving fast, so we get a lot of people coming in with things that need fixing right away. We spend a lot of time hunched over worktables with small screwdrivers and soldering irons. It’s quiet work compared to some of the bigger factories around, but it takes a lot of patience. Sometimes we have to wait a while for parts to arrive from the suppliers, which can be annoying for us and the people waiting. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, so we know the local rhythm of the street. Our hands are usually greasy or dusty from handling the old machines. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just try to get the appliances or machines working again so people can use them. It’s honest work, and we just take it one job at a time. Some days are busier than others, but we stay until the bench is mostly clear for the next day.
