Down on Dattapada Road, near the Safed Pool area, you’ll find our place, Sonadka. It’s a bit of an older part of the neighborhood, and the roads can get pretty dusty with all the trucks passing by. Our shop isn't tucked away or anything; it’s right there where the action is. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever comes through the door. The name might seem a bit unusual to some, but it’s been with us for a long time now. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to get around to it. There’s always a crate of something or a stack of deliveries sitting near the entrance. We have a routine that hasn’t changed much over the years. We open up early, get the floor cleaned, and wait for the first delivery of the day. The Safed Pool area has its own charm, even if it feels a bit chaotic during peak hours. You get to know the regular faces—the delivery drivers, the tea seller, and the folks living nearby who stop in for a chat. It’s a practical kind of life. We don’t go for any of that fancy branding. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay productive. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that’s just part of being on Dattapada Road. We just keep our heads down and work.
