Solo Futons N Furniture

If you find yourself on Mahakali Road in Andheri East, you might have passed by our place in Model Town. It’s at 21/1, and usually, you can tell we are there because of the smell of cut wood or the sight of a half-finished frame sitting near the entrance. We started this because we liked making things that people actually use in their homes every day. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the futons and chairs quite high. Sometimes it feels like you’re walking through a bit of a maze of fabric and wood. Andheri is always crowded and noisy, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter, though we always have some project or another going on that makes a mess. We don't have a big sales team or a shiny showroom. It is mostly just us showing people what we’ve been working on. Some days are slow and we just sit around sketching ideas, and other days it’s a total rush to get a delivery out on time. The furniture we have here is stuff we would actually put in our own houses. It’s sturdy and simple. We like living and working in this neighborhood because everything you need is just a short walk away, even if the traffic on Mahakali Road is a nightmare most afternoons. We just keep doing what we do, one piece at a time, without trying to be anything too fancy for the neighborhood.
