We are tucked away in the Hakur Village Complex in Kandivali East, occupying units 60 to 66. It is a decent-sized space, though it never feels big enough once we get a new shipment of sofas or cupboards in. Moving furniture around is a lot of heavy lifting, and my back usually feels it by the end of the week. We have all kinds of things here, from beds to chairs and whatever else people might need for their homes. Most of the folks who come in are from around the neighborhood. They want something that fits in their flat and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Sometimes we get people just wandering through to see what’s new. The floor gets dusty pretty fast because of all the wood and the foot traffic, so someone is always sweeping. It isn't a showroom with bright lights and fancy music. It’s just a place where we keep the stock and help people figure out what they need. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we’re unpacking boxes. The complex is usually busy with people coming and going. We’ve been here for a bit now and know many of the other shop owners around. If you're looking for us, just head towards the back of the complex. There is usually a truck parked out front loading or unloading something. It's honest work and it keeps us busy.
