Singh Furniture has been in the Charkop area of Kandivali East for quite some time now. When you walk into the shop, you will usually smell fresh wood and maybe some varnish drying in the back. It’s a bit of a messy place because we are always cutting timber or fixing up some old chairs. We don't have one of those big showrooms with bright lights and air conditioning. Instead, we have pieces leaning against the walls and stacks of plywood waiting to be used for the next job. People from around the neighborhood come in when they need a cupboard fixed or a new table made for their kitchen. We talk to them about what wood might last longer and what fits their budget without making things complicated. It’s just honest work with our hands and some old tools. Charkop is a busy residential spot, so there is always someone looking for something for their home. We might not have a fancy website or a big staff, but we know how to handle a hammer and a saw. Sometimes the shop gets so crowded with finished orders that we have to shuffle things around just to move through the door. It’s a local business through and through, and we like the people who stop by just to chat about a project they have in mind or to see what we are building that week. It's just a regular workshop.
