Silicon Computer

I’ll talk about the mess of cables and the noise of the Andheri Kurla Road. I’ve been at Midas Sahar Plaza for a bit now. We do most of the computer work here, whether it’s a laptop that won’t start or just someone needing a new mouse. Room 517 is small but we fit a lot of parts in there. Most days it’s just me and a couple of others trying to figure out why a motherboard died. It’s not fancy. The hallway outside sometimes smells like tea because of the guy downstairs. People drop off their machines on their way to work. Andheri East is always moving so we have to keep up. It’s hard to find parking around here, so usually, people just double-park while they run up. We’ve seen all sorts of broken tech. Sometimes it’s just a virus, other times it’s coffee spilled on a keyboard. We try to get things done by the evening. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at small screws. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back. That’s just how it goes in Mumbai. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the door number. Most people find us because they work in the building or nearby. It keeps us busy enough throughout the week. Saturday is usually the worst for crowds but we manage.
