Computer Basic Skills Windows

Our little setup is located at D-23 in Kumar Society. We are right in the Vakola area of Santa Cruz East. It is a residential neighborhood, so it is usually pretty calm around the office compared to the main roads. We have a few rows of computers set up for people to learn the basics of how to use Windows and other simple computer skills. It is not a high-tech lab or anything, just some decent machines and some chairs. A lot of people from the neighborhood come by because they want to understand their laptops better or learn how to send emails. We spend our time explaining things and showing how to click through menus. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we have to wait it out and chat. It is a very local feel. We know most of the people living in the society. There isn't any fancy marketing here, just a small sign on the door. We take things slow so everyone can keep up with the lessons. It is mostly older folks or young kids starting out. We keep the room as clean as we can, but with people coming and going, there is always a bit of dust on the screens. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a PC. It is just about helping people get comfortable with technology without making it sound too difficult or expensive.
