Siddhivinayak Electronics

Our place is on Workshop Line in Kasnipada, at number 137. It’s an area where people come to get things fixed. Siddhivinayak Electronics has been in this spot for several years. The front of the shop is usually filled with old TV sets and broken appliances waiting for parts. It looks a bit like a junkyard to some, but to us, it’s just work waiting to be done. The smell of solder is always in the air. We spend a lot of time bent over workbenches with tiny screwdrivers. It’s quiet work, mostly. We don’t have a lot of walk-in traffic for new sales, we’re mainly about repairs. Kasnipada is a hardworking neighborhood. We fit right in. Sometimes we have to wait weeks for a specific part to arrive from overseas. The customers are usually patient because they know we do a thorough job. We don’t use any fancy diagnostic machines, just our eyes and years of experience. My brother and I run the place together. We argue sometimes about where the tools went, but we get the work out the door. The lighting inside isn’t the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps. It’s a simple setup. We don't need much else. We’ve been at 137 for so long, we can’t imagine being anywhere else. It is just a dusty, busy shop where we fix what is broken.
