Siddhi Communications

Down here at Siddhi Communications, things move fast. We are on Anjanapura Main Road in Andheri East. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it never really stops. I spend most of my day looking at small screens and tiny screws. People come in rushing because their phone died or they need a quick recharge. I try to help everyone but sometimes there is a line out the door. The shop is small and the fan makes a bit of a clicking sound. I should probably fix that. We have a lot of phone cases hanging on the walls. Some are a bit dusty because nobody wants that specific color. I don't mind. We also sell SIM cards and help people figure out their data plans. It's funny how much people worry when their internet stops working for an hour. I see all sorts of people here. Office workers, students, and some of the older folks who struggle with the touchscreens. I don't have a big team. It's just me and a kid who helps with the deliveries. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. The rain in Andheri gets really bad, and sometimes water leaks through the front. We just put a bucket down and keep working. That's just how life is on the main road. I’ve been in this same spot for five years and I don’t plan on moving anywhere else soon.
