Shri Mangalam Furniture House

Our shop is at 33 Chembur Ramwadi, which is out in the Mulshi Taluka of Pune district. We are right opposite Amar Mahal, so it’s easy to find if you are driving past. The space is filled with all sorts of furniture pieces we’ve put together. You’ll see wardrobes, beds, and tables taking up most of the floor. It can get a bit cramped when new stock arrives, but we like having everything where people can see it. We spend most of our time talking to locals who come in looking for something for their homes. The area here has its own pace, a bit different from the main city. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we have three families in at once asking about wood types. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It is just about making furniture that stays solid for years. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we usually keep the doors wide open. My hands are usually a bit rough from moving the heavy stuff around all day. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and the neighbors know us by name. It’s a simple way to make a living, selling chairs and cupboards to people in the community. No big office or fancy uniforms here, just us working in the shop every day. We just try to keep things steady and handle the furniture carefully so it lasts.
