About Shree Ram Furniture Works – Furniture in Mumbai
Our workshop is over in Kandivali West, specifically at Ashwamegh Chamber on Plot 8. If you know where Sankar Nilkanth Mandir is, we are very close to that temple. Shree Ram Furniture Works is where we spend most of our days. It's usually pretty noisy with the saws and the sanding going on. We've got wood shavings all over the floor by noon most days. It’s a practical space. We make chairs, tables, and cabinets mostly. People from the neighborhood stop in to ask about repairs or getting something custom made for their homes. Being near the Phatak means there's always something moving outside. It's not a showroom with bright lights. It’s a real shop where work actually happens. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. We just take orders and get to work. Sometimes the wood shipments arrive late, and things get backed up, but we manage. Kandivali is a busy place, and being in Ashwamegh Chamber puts us right where people can find us easily. We don't use fancy tools for everything; a lot of it is just hands-on stuff. If you're walking past the temple, you can probably hear us working. We just focus on making things that last. No big sales pitches, just the furniture we build every day. The place can get a bit messy, but that's just part of the job. We keep the doors open and just stay busy with the wood we have.
