I run Shree Mahavir Plastic over in the Navin Manju Shopping Centre in Mulund West. We are in shop number 2, right near the S L Road entrance. It’s a busy little shopping centre with lots of different stores. My shop is packed with all kinds of plastic items like buckets, tubs, containers, and stools. I have things hanging from the ceiling too because the floor space is quite small. People from the nearby apartments come here when they need something for their kitchen or bathroom. It’s a lot of different colors everywhere you look. I spend a lot of time rearranging the stacks so people can walk through without knocking things over. Sometimes the plastic has a strong smell when we get a new batch of goods in. I’ve been in this spot for a few years now and I know most of the other shopkeepers in the center. We usually have a chat over tea in the afternoons. It gets really busy on the weekends when families are out shopping together. I don't have any fancy displays, just the goods piled up so people can see what we have. It’s a simple business and I enjoy talking to the customers who come in. My wife helps out sometimes during the festival season when everyone wants new containers. It’s just a normal shop in a normal neighborhood.
