Shree Balaji Electronics

Setting up Shree Balaji Electronics in Transport Nagar was a choice we made years ago. Sector No 23 is always moving. There are big lorries everywhere and the dust never really settles. Our shop in Lower Parel isn't very large. We have shelves full of components and old TV sets that people never picked up. My cousin helps me out sometimes when the orders get too much. We fix a lot of things that other people say are junk. It takes time to look at a circuit board and find that one tiny burnt part. The light in here isn't the best but we have a good desk lamp. Often, drivers come in because their radio stopped working or they need a cable. We don't have a catalog. You just come in and ask what you need. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us a cup and we take a break. It's a loud area with all the horns and engines. But the work is steady. We don't use any big computers to track things. I have a notebook where I write down who owes what and what needs to be fixed by Friday. It works for us. People know where to find us in the sector. It's just a regular shop doing regular work for the people around here. We try to keep the prices fair because we know how hard people work for their money in this part of town.
