If you are looking for us, we are up on the first floor of Joseph House. Room number 10, right on Siddharth Nagar Road in Santacruz East. It’s a busy street with lots of people moving about. The stairs can be a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step coming up. I started this beauty and health clinic because I wanted a place where local women could come and feel comfortable. We have a few chairs and some equipment for the different treatments we do. It’s not a massive salon with neon lights; it’s more of a cozy, practical space. Some of my clients have been coming to me since I first opened. We talk about everything while I work—family, the price of vegetables, whatever is going on in the neighborhood. I handle both the beauty side of things and some basic health advice. The curtains in the treatment room are a bit old, but they do the job. My assistant helps me keep the place tidy, though sometimes we get behind when there is a rush of people on Saturday afternoons. Santacruz East is a lively place to be, and being in Joseph House feels like being right in the middle of it all. We don't have a fancy website or anything. People just see the sign outside or hear about us from their neighbors and walk in. It’s just a small local spot where we try to do good work every day.
