Sharda Trading Co.

Sharda Trading Co. is right on the ground floor of Krishna Bhavan, number 75. We are on Kazi Sayed Street in Masjid Bander West. If you know the area, you know how incredibly busy it gets. It’s one of those parts of Mumbai where you can barely see the ground because of all the people and carts moving around. We are directly opposite Canara Bank, which makes it easier for people to find us among all the other shops. The street is narrow and the buildings are old, which gives it a lot of character but also makes it quite cramped. We spend most of our time at the front of the shop because that’s where all the action is. Inside, it’s packed with goods from floor to ceiling. We’ve been here for many years and have seen shops come and go. The humidity can be tough in the summers, but we have a small fan that keeps the air moving. We know all the other traders on the street. It’s a community where everyone is busy but still says hello. There’s always a smell of spices or goods in the air from the nearby markets. We don't have much room for fancy displays. Every inch of space is used for something. It’s a loud, fast-paced place to work, but we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office. It’s been our home for a long time now.
