Shankheswar Telecom

We are located at M G Road 5, which is a pretty central spot for Shankheswar Telecom. Most of our day is spent helping people with their mobile connections or showing them the budget phones we have in the glass cases. It’s a small shop, but we get a lot of foot traffic because of the location. People are always popping in for a quick recharge or to buy a new pair of earphones because they lost their old ones on the train. The walls are covered with posters for different mobile plans, though some of them are probably a bit outdated by now. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they have to wait for a SIM card to activate. It’s usually me and one other guy working here. We take turns going out for lunch so the shop is never closed during the day. M G Road is always loud, with buses and bikes constantly passing by. You get used to talking over the noise. We don't do anything fancy here, just basic mobile services and selling what people ask for. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the door, so we have to keep a mop handy. It’s just a regular shop where we try to be helpful to anyone who walks in. We have been here for a while and most of the locals know us by name.
