Shakti Sthal Acupuncture Centre

Our acupuncture centre is in Vasundh, over at Cumballa Hill. We are in Flat No 30 on the 3rd floor. It’s right near Cadbury House, which is a landmark everyone in Mumbai knows. Being on the third floor is nice because it’s a bit away from the noise of the street. Cumballa Hill is a fancy area, but our center is pretty basic. We have a few rooms with beds where people lie down for their treatment. Acupuncture is all about the needles, so we keep everything very clean and quiet. You can hear the hum of the city in the distance, but inside it’s mostly silent. People come to us when they are in pain or feeling stressed. I think they like that it’s a bit hidden away in an apartment building. It doesn't feel like a cold hospital. It feels more like visiting a neighbor. We have some plants in the hallway to make it look a bit more lively. I spend a lot of time organizing the schedules and making sure the rooms are ready. The building has an old elevator that creaks a bit, but it gets you there. We’ve been practicing here for quite a while now. Most of our visitors come because a friend told them about us. We don’t do any big ads. We just open the door and wait for the first person to arrive.
