Our office is in the Bombay Mutual Chember building. It's an old place on A D Marg and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We’ve been here in Bijali Nagar for several years. It's a very busy area with lots of people rushing around with bags and stacks of papers. Inside our unit, it's mostly desks and old files piled high. We deal with various business things, mostly supplies for other companies. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or fancy coffee machines. Just old wooden tables and some computers that take a while to start up in the morning. I usually come in around ten o'clock. There is almost always a pile of mail waiting by the door. We spend most of the morning answering phone calls. The phone rings a lot. Sometimes it's just a wrong number, but other times it's a regular customer checking on an order. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just do the daily work. The building gets a bit damp when it rains heavily. We have to be careful to keep the papers covered. Bombay Mutual Chember has a lot of history in its hallways. You can feel it when you walk in. It’s a quiet kind of work and we aren't trying to change the world. We just get the orders right and make sure the bills are paid. It's practical.
