Sara Repairing Shop

Started the shop in Borivali East a while back. It’s a small place, mostly just us and the tools. People bring in all sorts of broken things. Sometimes the shop gets really cluttered with spare parts. We spend most of our mornings opening up and cleaning the workbench. It’s dusty work, but it’s what we do. The fan in the corner makes a lot of noise during the summer. We know most of the people around here by their first names. They drop off their stuff, maybe grab a chai next door, and come back later. It isn't a fancy setup. There’s grease on the floor sometimes and the shelves are a bit crooked. We try to get through the pile of repairs every day, but some jobs take longer than others. Borivali East can get pretty busy in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap up before the rush hits the main road. My hands are usually dirty by noon. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just the counter and the repair area. If something is broken, we look at it and see if it can be saved. Sometimes it can, sometimes it’s just scrap. That’s just how it goes here. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just working with our hands. It’s a simple life in this shop. We usually just lock up and head home once the streetlights come on.
