I’ve been working out of this spot in Santacruz West for a while now. It's in the Vijay Kesar building, which is right off Chincholi. My office isn't much to look at, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of papers stacked up near the window. I spend most of my day here dealing with whatever work comes across my desk. The neighborhood is always moving, and you can even hear the trains if it’s a quiet day, which isn't very often in this part of town. I started doing this because I wanted something of my own, and this little space was available at the right time. It’s not perfect, as the paint is peeling a bit near the corner and the lift is sometimes slow, but it works for what I do. Most of the people I see are regulars from around the area or folks who heard about me from a friend. I don't really have a big staff or a fancy reception desk to greet people. It’s just me and sometimes a helper if things get too busy for one person to handle. I try to stay organized but sometimes things get a bit messy when there's a lot of things going on at once. I usually grab a tea from the stall downstairs in the afternoon to stay awake. Living and working around here has its own rhythm that I’ve grown used to. I like being tucked away in this part of Santacruz. It feels like home even when I'm working late into the evening.
