Saloni Mobile

If you walk through Borivali East, specifically around Daulat Nagar, you’ll likely pass by Saloni Mobile. We’ve been set up here for a while, dealing with all the usual phone troubles people have. It’s a small place, nothing fancy to look at from the street. We have a lot of plastic cases in different colors hanging up, and some of them have been there for a bit too long probably. People come in mostly because they dropped their phone or they need a new SIM card. Daulat Nagar is a busy area with a lot of families, so we get everyone from teenagers wanting the newest cover to older folks who can't remember their passwords. We try to help them out without making it complicated. Some days the shop feels very small when there are boxes of new stock arriving and people are waiting for their repairs. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. It’s steady work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we just sit and talk with whoever is in the shop until it comes back on. That’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in. We just focus on getting the phones working again so people can get back to their lives. It’s just how we do things here.
