Sai Wooden & Steel Furniture

You can find us at Paras Building on SV Road in Goregaon West. We are right near Kapadia Hospital. Our shop, Sai Wooden & Steel Furniture, is always full of the smell of wood and the sound of hammers. We have been here for quite some time now. The space is packed with different pieces of furniture, some finished and some just starting. We work with wood and steel, so there is always sawdust on the floor and scraps of metal in the corner. It is a bit messy, but that is how we work. SV Road is always noisy with cars and buses, but we don’t mind it much. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and joining things together. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. We are more of a workshop where things actually get built. Sometimes customers come in with sketches on a piece of paper. We try to figure out how to make it for them. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot of materials in. We have our regulars who come from the nearby buildings. Being close to Kapadia Hospital makes us easy to find. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, but we like seeing a finished chair or cupboard at the end of the day. It is just us here making furniture that lasts for the people around Goregaon.
