If you find yourself in Jogeshwari West, specifically around 1st Cross by Cubbon Market, you’ll probably see our sign for Sai Enterprises. It’s a busy little corner of the world. The market starts humming really early in the morning, so I’m usually up and at the shop before the sun is even fully out. We deal with all sorts of general items that people in the market might need. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to people all day. My voice gets a bit raspy by the evening. The shop itself is small, so we have to use every inch of wall space for hanging things. It feels a bit like a puzzle trying to fit everything in. I’ve got a small stool I sit on when there aren’t any customers, but that doesn’t happen too often during market days. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down that makes the best ginger tea, and that’s usually what keeps me going through the afternoon slump. We don’t do any big advertising or anything, we just open the doors and see who comes in. Most of the people around here are regulars who’ve been coming to the market for years. It’s a noisy, dusty, but lively place to be, and I wouldn't really know what to do with myself if I wasn't here at the market every day.
