Sahara Plastic Industries

Sahara Plastic Industries is tucked away in Masrani Lane over in Rajendra Nagar, specifically at number 42. It’s an industrial sort of spot, so it’s not exactly pretty to look at. We have our machines set up in the back and a small space in the front for managing things. There is always that faint smell of plastic in the air, which we don’t even notice anymore, though visitors usually mention it. Our days start early because getting the machines warmed up takes time. Most of the work involves making sure the molds are right and that we aren't wasting material. It gets quite hot inside, especially during the summer, so we have these big exhaust fans that make a lot of noise. We don't really have a front office, just a wooden table where we keep our logbooks and a few samples of what we make. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always another order to finish. Masrani Lane can be a bit tight for the bigger trucks, so we often have to help guide them in. It's a lot of physical work, moving bags of raw material and stacking finished products. We just focus on getting the daily production done without too many glitches in the machinery. That’s what keeps us busy through the week and into the evenings.
