We have been working out of this shop in New India Market for quite some time now. It’s Shop No 14/B, right there on Princess Street in Andheri East. If you are looking for the place, it is very close to Rehman Hotel, which most people around here know well. Our daily routine involves a lot of fabric, foam, and wood. There is usually a bit of a mess with all the materials lying around, but that is just how it goes when you are rebuilding a sofa from scratch. People bring in their old sets that have seen better days, and we spend our hours stripping them down and putting them back together. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. The market gets pretty crowded, especially on the weekends, but we stay tucked away in our corner. Sometimes the tea stall guy comes by, and we take a short break before getting back to the stitching. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just walk in because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. The street can be noisy with all the traffic heading towards the station, but inside the shop, we just focus on the task at hand. It’s a simple setup with our tools and enough space to move the bigger pieces around when needed. We've seen a lot of changes in Andheri, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know how to do.
