S R Impex

You can find us at B-101 in Mumbai Central. S R Impex is mostly about moving boxes and checking invoices. It is a bit tucked away, so first-time visitors sometimes take a wrong turn in the corridor. We have been in this building for years. The lift is often broken, so we end up carrying stuff up the stairs quite a bit. It’s good exercise, I guess. My desk is right by the window, but the view is just another building across the street. We handle a lot of different items, mostly accessories and small electronics that come in big crates. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s a bit dusty because of all the cardboard boxes being moved around every day. We don't have a flashy showroom. It’s just an office with lots of shelves and a small table for tea. The guys who deliver the stock are usually in a hurry to beat the traffic. Mumbai Central is always loud with the trains and the cars. We eat our lunch together around 2 PM if the work allows it. My wife sometimes says I spend more time at B-101 than at home. But that’s just how it goes when you run your own thing. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come in. It’s hard work but it keeps the lights on and the business moving forward every single day.
