S M Kazi

Our place is up on the 4th floor of Ali Chambers. That’s at 54 Fort Phase 4 in the GIDC area. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. S M Kazi is just a small operation. We have been here for a while and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the building. Fort is always busy, so there is always something happening outside. Inside the office, it’s mostly just us and the computers. We don't have any big corporate goals written on the walls. It’s just a place where we come to work. The space is a bit cramped because of all the files, but it feels like home to us. We usually have the windows open when the weather is nice, though it can get dusty. Most of the people we deal with have been coming to us for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do what we do and go home to our families. It’s a simple setup in an old part of town. Sometimes we grab lunch from the stalls downstairs. It’s just a normal job in a normal office. We don't see the need for anything more than that. We just focus on getting through the tasks we have for the day and keeping everything running as it should be for as long as we are here.
