Roman Wire Industries

We are located at No. 159 in Third Kumbharwada, on Dr. M. G. Mahimtura Marg. It’s a part of town that has always been known for its small industries and workshops. We work with wire, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds. There are different gauges, materials, and coatings that we have to keep track of every day. Our space is full of coils and spools of different sizes. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives. The machines we use are old but reliable, and they make a specific kind of hum that we’ve all gotten used to over the years. Being in Kumbharwada means we are part of a tight-knit community of makers and suppliers. We see the same faces every day. We don’t do a lot of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who know us or who have been told about our shop by someone else in the trade. We just focus on getting the wire cut or coiled to the right specifications. It’s a lot of manual work and your fingers get tough from handling the metal. We open early and stay until the work for the day is done. It’s a simple operation, run by people who have spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of the wire business. We just keep our machines running and the wire moving out the door.
