Coastal Wire Ropes Ltd. is tucked away in Room 4a at 8/14 Baroda Street. If you know the Masjid Bunder area, you know how packed and busy Carnac Bunder gets. It’s a real hub for hardware and industrial stuff. Our office isn’t huge, but it’s where all the business happens for the wire ropes we handle. The streets around here are narrow and usually filled with carts and trucks. We’ve been operating out of this room for quite some time now. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls, coordinating where the ropes need to go. You’ll find us surrounded by ledgers and samples. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, but it works for us. We don’t have a flashy showroom. People who need heavy-duty wire ropes usually know where to find us in this maze of buildings. The air smells like salt and diesel from the docks nearby. We deal with a lot of shipping and industrial clients who come through Masjid Bunder. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything in such a busy neighborhood. We just get on with it every day, starting early to beat the worst of the heat and the crowds. It’s a practical business for a practical part of Mumbai. No frills, just plenty of wire rope orders to fill and send out to the port.
