Our business is tucked away on the 2nd floor of the Tawawala Building, which is No. 147/29 in Lohar Chawl. If you’ve ever been to Lohar Chawl, you know it’s a maze of shops and people everywhere. We have been trading here for a long time, mostly dealing in various hardware and electrical goods that people need for their shops or homes. The building is old and has a lot of character, much like the rest of the street. It gets pretty crowded during the day with handcarts and deliveries moving through the narrow lanes. We spend our time checking stock and talking to the regulars who have been buying from us for years. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the hustle of the market. Our office is more of a storeroom with a desk squeezed in, but it works for what we do. We don’t really do any big advertising or have a website that looks professional. Most people just know where we are or find us by asking around the Chawl. We just keep our heads down and handle the trading one day at a time. It’s a simple life of buying and selling, and we try to keep things honest and straightforward with everyone who walks up those stairs to our floor. The stairs are a bit steep, but we are used to the climb.
