My place is in Alka Appartments, right on the Andheri Main Road. It’s 212/ C on the second floor. I’ve been working out of this spot for a bit. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and everyone knows it. Getting here is easy because the main road is always packed with autos and buses. Sometimes the noise from the traffic comes up through the windows, but you get used to it after a week or two. I try to keep the office organized, though there are always piles of folders on the side table. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have a big sign outside, so you have to look for the building name on the gate. The elevator works most of the time, but I usually just take the stairs if I’m in a hurry. It’s a decent sized space for what I do. I have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait for me to finish up with someone else. Andheri is a fast place, always something happening outside. Inside here, it’s a bit more relaxed. I usually have a cup of tea on my desk that’s gone cold because I got distracted with work. It is not a corporate office by any means, just a practical work space. I like being central like this. You just come up the stairs and turn left. The door is usually unlocked during the day.
