Refcon

Our place is located on the ground floor of one of the MIDC plots. Being on the ground floor is handy because we deal with a lot of equipment and parts that are too heavy to carry up any stairs. The area is very industrial, so there are always trucks idling outside and the sound of metal banging from the neighbors. We have a small office section partitioned off with some wood and glass, but most of the space is just for the work itself. There are tools everywhere and maybe a few oil stains on the floor that we can’t seem to get out no matter how hard we scrub. It is a practical space, not something meant for showing off. We usually have the big shutter half-open during the day to let the breeze in, though it brings in a lot of grit from the road too. The guys usually take their lunch break sitting on the benches outside when the weather is nice. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you just have to shout a hello to get someone's attention from the back. It is just a straightforward workshop environment where we get things done without much fuss or worry about appearances. Sometimes it’s a bit disorganized with parts lying around, but we know where everything is. The coffee machine broke last week, so we’ve been going to the corner stall lately.
