Ravindra Engineering Corporation

Ravindra Engineering Corporation is situated at 303 Hanuman Industrial Estate, 42-B G.D. Ambekar Road in Wadala. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and warehouses. It’s a very practical environment. Our unit is on the third floor, which makes moving heavy stuff a bit of a chore, but we have the lift for that. Inside, it’s mostly machinery and workbenches. We do a lot of mechanical work, so things can get a bit oily. We aren't much for decorations; the walls are mostly covered in calendars and old notes. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the books and answer the phone. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor actually doing the work. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer. We’ve been here in Wadala for a good number of years and know most of the other guys in the building. It’s a community of sorts. We don't do anything flashy. If a machine needs fixing or a part needs making, we just get to it. There’s no big philosophy behind it, just daily work. We try to be fair and get the jobs finished when we say we will. Sometimes we're a bit behind schedule when parts don't arrive on time, but that's life. We just keep plugging away at it.
