Ramesh Bearing Corporation

Ramesh Bearing Corporation is located right behind the Bombay Mercantile Bank. If you know Masjid Bunder West, you know how crowded Lamington Road gets on a typical weekday. We have been here for a while now, surrounded by all sorts of shops and parts suppliers. Our space at 63/69 is usually filled with stock because bearings take up a lot of room. It’s not a quiet place, but it's where we work. People come in looking for specific parts, and we spend a lot of time checking numbers and sizes. Sometimes the light in the back is a bit dim, so we have to use torches to see the small prints on the metal. It’s a messy job sometimes with the grease and the dust from the street. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our regulars just know where to find us. Usually, one of us is sitting at the front desk while others are moving boxes. The heat in the summer can be tough, but we have a few fans going. Dealing with machinery parts is straightforward, either it fits or it doesn't. We just try to help people find what they need for their repairs. It's a busy life here near the bank, and we just keep at it every day. We don't mind the noise much anymore after all these years.
