Rakesh Communication

Over in Jogeshwari East on Caves Road at number 182, that’s where Rakesh Communication is. It’s a busy spot because Caves Road always has people moving towards the station or the highway. We handle a lot of different things here, from mobile recharges to fixing small electronic gadgets that have stopped working. The shop is pretty cramped with wires and old boxes, but we know where everything is. Mostly, it’s just me and a helper. We see a lot of laborers and office workers who need a quick fix for their phones so they can stay in touch with home. It isn't a high-end boutique. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high. But it keeps us cool enough. We don't promise miracles, we just try to get the job done so people can go about their day. Sometimes someone comes in with a phone that’s been dropped in water, and we tell them straight if it can be saved or if it’s junk. Being honest is easier than giving people false hope. Jogeshwari is a loud, energetic place and our little shop is just one small part of that noise. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the pavement. We don't have fancy brochures, just a place to get your phone sorted out. You might have to wait a few minutes if we are busy.
