Machhlimar Gurdwara Market is a lively place to be, and that’s where you’ll find Rajtime & Telecom at S 2. There is always a lot going on with the market stalls nearby and people heading to the Gurdwara. Our shop is a mix of things, really. We’ve got watches and clocks alongside the mobile phone stuff. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. You can hear the ticking of various clocks if the street noise dies down for a second, which doesn't happen often. People come in to get a watch battery changed or to fix a cracked screen on their smartphone. It’s a strange combination, but that’s how we started out years ago. The space in S 2 is packed with little drawers and boxes full of tiny parts. We use magnifying glasses and small tools all day long. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes a customer will bring in an old wall clock that hasn't worked in a decade, and we take a look at that too. It’s a busy life here in the Gurdwara Market. We don't have a website or a fancy logo. We just have our shop front and the people who have been coming to us for years. It’s a humble spot, but it’s ours, and we like being part of the daily life in Machhlimar. We just keep our heads down and work.
