Rajendra Plastics is over in Malad West at number 136. It’s basically a workshop where we handle different plastic goods. The street gets busy with trucks and people moving about, so it’s rarely quiet around here. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on what’s happening on the floor. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if we aren't all related. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners on this block quite well. Dealing with plastics means there's always a specific smell in the air, but you stop noticing it after the first ten minutes. We don't do much advertising because most people find us by word of mouth or just by walking past. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, which is frustrating, but that’s just part of working here. We try to be fair and just get the work out on time. There’s no big corporate office or middle management to deal with. You just walk in and talk to whoever is standing there. Malad West has its own rhythm and we’ve become a small part of it over the years. We keep things basic and don't try to be something we're not. It works for us and it seems to work for our regular customers too.
