You can find us at number 2 in Vikhroli West, right near Sakinaka. We are situated near where the Azad trailers are, so there are always big vehicles parked around or moving through the narrow lanes. Our workshop is full of the smell of cut wood and sawdust. It gets everywhere, on our clothes and in our hair, no matter how much we sweep. We spend the day measuring and cutting and putting things together. The floor is almost always covered in wood shavings. We have a few benches where we work and some old stools for when we take a break. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of projects going on at once. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our pieces are just sitting there in various stages of being finished. Sometimes a customer comes in and we have to clear a spot just for them to stand. It gets quite noisy with the saws going, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard. We have a small kettle for making tea, which is how we start most of our mornings. The neighborhood is always active and there is a lot of shouting and horns honking outside, but we just focus on the wood in front of us. It is simple work, mostly about making sure things fit together right and the finish is smooth enough for whoever ordered it.
