R. V. Ayurved Hospital

Our hospital, R. V. Ayurved Hospital, is situated very close to the Sion Railway Station in Sion. You can actually hear the trains rattling by and the announcements from the platform if the wind is blowing the right way. Being so close to the station means there are always people rushing past our door. The building itself is an older one, and it has that specific smell of herbs and oils that comes with an ayurvedic place. We have a few rooms for treatments and a small area where we keep the different powders and liquids. It is not a sterile, white-walled hospital like the ones you see in movies. It feels more like a home that has been turned into a clinic. We have some wooden furniture and a few ceiling fans that click as they spin around. People come in from their commute to see us. We don't have a digital check-in system or anything fancy; we just use a big ledger book to write down names. The staff here has been around for a long time and we all know how to navigate the narrow hallways. It gets a bit crowded during the monsoon when everyone is trying to stay dry, but we manage. We just focus on the treatments and making sure the patients have a place to sit and rest for a bit before they head back to the train. It is a very normal, local spot for people in Sion.
