Priyanka Telecom

Priyanka Telecom is tucked away in Vile Parle West on the 7th Main near the 1st Stage area. It is not a very big shop but we managed to fit a lot of glass counters inside to show off the different phones and accessories we have. Most of the time the place is full of people asking how to fix a cracked screen or why their battery is dying so fast. We have tools scattered behind the counter and sometimes it takes a minute to find the right screwdriver for a specific model. The street outside is always busy with students and people going to work so there is a lot of noise coming through the door. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It is just a regular shop with bright tubelights and a lot of wires hanging around. I usually handle the repairs while my cousin talks to the customers about data plans or new covers. We spend a lot of our day looking at tiny screws and small circuit boards which can be tiring for the eyes. Sometimes we run out of certain screen protectors and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It is a simple life and we know most of the regulars who live around the 16th Main. We just keep the shop open until late and then head home to rest for the next day.
