We are based at Chandrakant Bhavan, number 16, over in Andheri East. Specifically, we’re in the Vadgaon Budruk, Golewadi area. It’s a busy little pocket of the city. As the name says, we focus on ladies' clothes. The shop is usually full of rolls of fabric and half-finished suits. You’ll hear the constant sound of the sewing machines going from morning till late. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s a productive one. We’ve been at this for a while, so we know how to handle the different requests that come in, from simple alterations to more detailed work. Ganesh is often around helping out too. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders during wedding season or festivals. We have thread of every color you can imagine sitting on the shelves. It’s a very hands-on job. Our hands are usually busy with pins or chalk. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is just a workspace where we get the tailoring done. People from around the neighborhood know us, and we mostly get work through word of mouth. We just try to make sure the fit is right and the customer is okay with the work. It is a small local business, nothing more than that. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day.
